Run that by me again…

My grammar is bad. I will be the first one to tell you that, but sometimes I read the comments on message boards and web pages and I start to think my use of the English language isn’t as bad as I think it is. I step on it a little bit, but on the internet people straight up butcher it. Here is a collection of quotes from some websites I frequent. I read a lot of gossip and hip-hop related sites, which are a treasure trove of bad grammar. These are the actual quotes. I have not modified them in any way. Simply copied and pasted.

“MTO WHATEVER YA’LL DAMN WELL NOBODY CAME TO YA’LL”

Huh? I have read this 40 times and I still don’t get it. It’s a response to an article that was posted on the website mediatakeout.com. There is a picture of the woman who wrote the quote and she doesn’t look like an idiot.

This is another one of my favorite responses to certain articles. The “who cares” comment. I love when people actually read an article and then make this comment. You want people to think you don’t care so instead of ignoring the article…you take the time to fill out the little form to let people know that you don’t care. Fascinating.

“DAMN!!! look at those TEETH! and HOW da HELL YALL kno dat this is the guy she was with??”
